PROOFREADING RATES

I charge $.40 to $.50 for proofreading with "normal" turnaround time. I find that I can't afford to do it for less, considering the amount of time it takes.

My reporters don't mind as I also do scoping for them and am familiar with their writing and am able to spot a mistranslate or a stack better than someone just reading for punctuation and grammar. I feel if you have been scoping that long and have that experience, you are worth it!!

In a previous discussion, proofreading ranged from .25 to .40 (if I remember correctly); some proofed on paper, some proofed in the CAT system.
